BUILDING CONTROL CONSULTING

We can help with Building Control applications and offer technical advice on Building Regulations from conception to completion of developments and building projects. We work with homeowners, architects / architectural technologists, structural engineers and building contractors, plus we also offer plan checking services to corporate companies.

CLERK OF WORKS

We can inspect and monitor building works on site to ensure they meet planning criteria and Building Regulations, as well as the original architectural specification. An independent assessment and expert second opinion can make all the difference in checking whether work and workmanship is safe and to correct specifications, and whether claims are valid or not.

WARRANTY SURVEYS

We can provide a detailed survey report for warranty purposes. A warranty survey is to ensure that new build properties or extension/alteration works are done to a high standard, which is in accordance with the Building Regulations and other statutory requirements. Issues such as flat roof detailing and the lifespan of materials and services are inspected and commented upon. Warranty surveys are often done in accordance with a technical manual from the provider, which states their requirements to sign off the project.

COMPLIANCE SURVEYS

We can create a detailed report on whether a property complies with or deviates away from Building Regulations, advise on what is needed to bring it up to modern regulation standards, and provide a schedule of works for any remedial action that may be necessary. This is especially useful for property owners who have encountered problems with builders or who wish to put a house on the rental market or convert to HMO.
